Meet Mumbai activist Suhani Jalota who was a special guest at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding

For 23-year-old activist Suhani Jalota, "super excited", like she confesses, is an emotion to relate to. Founder of Mumbai-based Myna Mahila Foundation, she is one among the four women who were on the special guest list at the royal wedding.

The organisation, which produces and distributes low-cost sanitary napkins, is the only non-UK organisation marking its attendance at the Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle's wedding. Her colleagues, Deborah Das, Archana Ambre, and Imogen Mansfield, are among the 1,200 members of the public invited to attend the wedding picnic party on the grounds of the Castle, says a report by The New Indian Express.

This all started in 2016, when Suhani gave a talk at the Glamour College Women of the Year Awards, where Meghan Markle was in the audience. Moved by her passion and intent, Meghan reached out to Suhani and visited Mumbai.

Suhani's organisation Myna is one of the four charities of the couple’s choice for donations (in place of gifts) from the wedding, says the Vogue.  Sanjay Garg, a designer from Raw Mango, who designed the outfit for Suhani and her team said,
