Pakistani actor Urwa Hocane calls out Swara Bhaskar for contradicting statements

Pakistani VJ and actor Urwa Hocane is not happy with Veere Di Wedding actor Swara Bhasakar making two contradictory statements about Pakistan.

On Sunday, Urwa posted two clips, one old and another from Saturday, from different interviews given by Swara to two different channels. While the first clip is from an interview she did on a Pakistani channel, the second is from a conversation between the team of Veere Di Wedding and Rajeev Masand of News 18 on June 2.

Urwa wrote while tagging Swara in the post, “Need I say more?”

The first clip shows Swara praising Pakistan and its people. She said, “Pakistan is not like how it is described, an enemy state. I swear, I have been to London, New York, Istanbul, Paris, every city fails in front of Lahore.”

In the second video, she can be seen calling Pakistan a ‘failing state’. While pointing out Pakistan’s non-secular nature as a state, she said, “I don’t understand why we keep taking pleasure from all the silly things that happen in Pakistan.

Swara also said that the Pakistani vocabulary is ‘way worse’ than what ‘we do’. Interestingly, in her interview with the Pakistani channel, she categorically praised Pakistan’s day-to-day vocabulary.

On the work front, Swara’s latest film Veere Di Wedding that also features Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Shikha Talsania, has opened to packed houses.
